benefits of Ballet
-
Physical
It’s no secret that ballet is proven to aid to development of fine motor skills in young children. The intricate technique and repetitive pattern of steps means ballet is also great for improving coordination, balance, overall muscle strength and mobility.
-
emotional
Children’s wellbeing and happiness is our top priority. Ballet for children of all ages is wonderful for positive social interaction and encourages team work. We place huge importance on group support, building self-confidence and positive body image.
-
Cognitive
Ballet engages the mind and helps boost our little one’s memory through the learning and recall of repetitive dance sequences and movement patterns. We also use elements from across the sensory spectrum, including sounds and textures to aid the memory recall process.
-
fun and enjoyment
Our main objective is that our children have fun! Regular ballet classes allow children to build strong friendship groups with likeminded others and create fun memories to last a lifetime, all while exploring new skills, working as a team and building confidence.
-
Expressive
Ballet is a wonderful way to allow children’s creativity, imagination and story telling to run wild and free in a supportive environment! We also explore improvisation which encourages children to think ‘in the moment’ and with healthy autonomy and confidence.
-
Musicality
Ballet and music go hand in hand so classes will introduce children to basic musicality in the form of counting and moving to different beats, rhythms and speeds. We also explore different characteristics of music which provide an enriching and educational creative experience.
