What to wear

At Bearwood Ballet, uniform is not compulsory.

We do however have a uniform available to purchase should you wish!

For the 3-week trial and if you choose not to purchase uniform, we ask that you and your little one wear something comfortable that you both can freely move around in. We do recommend that ballet shoes are worn for class or alternatively soft shoes with a suitable grip, otherwise your little one will be asked to dance in bare feet. Due to safety reasons, socks are not permitted to be worn for class.

If your little one is coming in uniform, we recommend you bring them under-changed as although there are toilets at Lightwoods House, there are no changing facilities.

Girls ballet leotards, boys unitards and shorts, socks and ballet shoes are available to purchase at Dancique in Central Birmingham or from us directly. Bearwood Ballet and Bearwood ‘Baby’ Ballet t-shirts can be ordered through us and usually take 1 week to arrive.
